Presence Before Clarity

There is a question many women carry quietly beneath the surface.
"How do I know what I'm meant to do next?"
They search for clarity. The next step. The right decision. The missing piece. But what if clarity has never been something you needed to chase? What if it has simply been waiting for you to become present enough to receive it?
The mind believes clarity is something to think your way into. The soul knows it is something you soften your way toward. Presence is where remembering begins. Not because presence gives you all the answers, but because it gently quiets everything that isn't true.
When life has asked you to keep performing…
When you've learned to rush past your own needs…
When you've become accustomed to living in tomorrow instead of this moment…
Your inner knowing doesn't disappear. It simply waits. Not in judgment. In patience.
The sacred doesn't compete with the noise. It whispers. This is why Presence is a doorway on the Wheel of Remembering. Before purpose comes presence. Before direction comes devotion to this moment. Before certainty comes the willingness to stay with yourself, exactly as you are.
Presence isn't passive. It is one of the most courageous practices we can choose, because it asks us to stop abandoning ourselves in search of answers. It invites us back into relationship with our own body. Our own breath. Our own inner rhythms. Our own quiet knowing.
And something remarkable begins to happen. The clarity you were chasing starts finding you. Not as a dramatic revelation, but as a series of gentle recognitions. A conversation that lingers. A path that suddenly feels lighter. A quiet yes that asks for nothing more than your trust.
This is how remembering often arrives. Not through striving, but through stillness.
So if your path feels uncertain today, perhaps nothing has gone wrong. Perhaps your soul isn't asking you to search harder. Perhaps it is simply inviting you to come home to this moment. Because presence is not the reward after clarity. Presence is the place where clarity is born.
And maybe the question isn't,
"What am I meant to do?"
Maybe the deeper invitation is,
"Can I become present enough to hear what has been gently calling me all along?"
The remembering is already within you. Presence simply allows you to recognize it.
A Remembering Practice
Before you seek another answer today, offer yourself five minutes of undivided presence.
Find a quiet place where you won't be interrupted.
Place one hand over your heart and the other over your lower belly.
Close your eyes.
Allow your breath to slow without trying to change it.
Instead of asking yourself,
What should I do next?
Gently ask,
What wants to be felt right now?
Stay with whatever arises.
There is nothing to fix.
Nothing to force.
Nothing to understand.
Simply notice.
Notice the sensations in your body.
Notice where you feel spacious.
Notice where you feel contracted.
Notice what softens when you stop searching for an answer.
When you feel complete, ask one final question:
What is one gentle step that would honor my deepest knowing today?
Trust the first quiet response.
It may be surprisingly small.
A walk beneath the trees.
A cup of tea in silence.
A conversation you've been avoiding.
A nap.
A journal entry.
The soul rarely shouts.
It usually whispers in invitations that your body already recognizes.
This month, let Presence become your practice.
Not because it will give you all the answers.
But because it will help you remember the wisdom that has been within you all along.
Continue the Wheel of Presence
Throughout July, we are walking the Wheel of Presence together; a sacred invitation to slow down, soften, and return to the quiet wisdom that has always lived within you.
Each reflection, ritual, and meditation this month is an opportunity to remember, not who you should become, but who you have always been beneath the noise.
Presence is not something you practice to become someone else. It is how you remember who you have always been.
May this month be one of gentle homecoming.
May you discover that the answers you've been searching for have been patiently waiting beneath the stillness all along.
🌙
May you walk gently.
May you trust your own rhythm.
May Presence remind you of what your soul has always known.
Until Next Time...
