I didn't create Avalonian Moon because I had life figured out.
In many ways, it began because I didn't.
When I was 42, my husband Brad died suddenly. We'd been together for twenty years, married for seventeen, and had three daughters.
One day I was part of a couple, raising a family and living the life I knew.
And then I wasn't.
Grief changed my relationship with almost everything I thought I understood. Myself. Love. God. Life. Death. What we can see and what we can't.
I had questions.
A lot of them.
And those questions eventually led me somewhere I never expected.

After Brad died, I had an experience that has stayed with me ever since.
During a meditation, I saw a mysterious castle-like place that I didn't recognize.
Later that same day, I unexpectedly had a reading with a medium. During the reading, she spoke about a past-life connection Brad and I shared in Avalon under Merlin and mentioned Avalon's association with Glastonbury.
Curious, I searched for Glastonbury.
And there it was.
Glastonbury Tor.
The place I'd seen earlier that day in meditation.
I can't tell you exactly what happened that day.
And I don't need to.
Maybe it was spiritual guidance. Maybe synchronicity. Maybe there are mysteries we're not meant to neatly explain.
I only know that something in me recognized it.
Avalon became part of the landscape of my own remembering.
And then there was the moon.
Brad and I loved looking at the moon together. Even now, I often see his face reflected there.
Over time, the moon came to represent something much larger for me.
Love that continues.
Connection beyond what we can see.
And the reminder that we can appear to be missing pieces of ourselves and still be whole.
The moon never becomes more moon.
She reveals herself differently depending on where she is in her cycle.
I've come to believe we do something similar.
And that is how Avalonian Moon became more than a name.
It became a way home.
After Brad died, I wanted answers.
I wanted to understand grief. My sensitivity. The intuitive experiences I'd had throughout my life. My relationship with spirituality. And, perhaps most of all, who I was now.
So I explored.
I studied mediumship, energy work, hypnotherapy, coaching, spiritual philosophy, Highly Sensitive Persons, women's circles, and eventually conscious dance.
Some things stayed with me.
Some evolved.
Some opened the door to the next question.
Looking back, I can see that I wasn't simply gathering certifications.
I was remembering different parts of myself.
My sensitivity wasn't something I needed to overcome.
My intuition wasn't something I needed to prove.
My body wasn't something separate from my spiritual life.
My grief didn't need to become a tidy chapter with an ending.
And I didn't need to become someone completely new.
I needed to find my way back into relationship with myself.
Over time, I began noticing something else.
We don't grow in straight lines.
We return.
The same questions find us in different seasons. Something we thought we'd finished with appears again. We need rest after a season of growth. We release. We begin. We lose our way. We remember.
Nature had been showing us this all along.
The seasons return.
The moon moves through her phases.
And gradually, The Wheel of Remembering emerged as a way of giving language to something I had been living for years.
Today, it sits at the heart of my work.
I walk it too.
I return to Balance.
I meet Release.
I need Stillness.
I rediscover Hope.
And sometimes I need to ask myself the same question I offer the women who find their way here:
What is asking to be remembered today?
I don't believe my role is to tell you who you should become.
I've spent enough years discovering that nobody else can answer that question for us.
What I can offer is companionship.
Questions.
Reflection.
Intuition.
Experience.
A framework when a framework helps.
And a place where you don't have to know yet.
Through coaching, Human Design, intuitive work, the DANCE™ Methodology, the Wheel of Remembering, and the different circles and experiences within Avalonian Moon, I create spaces where women can hear themselves a little more clearly.
Sometimes that leads to change.
Sometimes it leads to acceptance.
Sometimes it leads to action.
And sometimes it simply leads to a deep breath and the realization:
Oh. There I am.
That's remembering.
And I'm still practicing it too.
